Even the rappers succumb to the might of electronic music! Kanye West releases his latest song called Stronger from his album , Graduation. Here's a small snippet from wikipedia on what the track is all about!
"Stronger" contains a sample from the song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk that consists of a vocal performance by the duo. On July 3, 2007, West told Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 that although he believes "Stronger" is "a great song", it does not compare to the sampled original. Daft Punk were delighted upon first hearing the new song on Power 106 while on a San Francisco flight. As Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of the duo stated, "Our song had a good sound, but when [the radio DJ] put Kanye's record on, the sound was really fat. It sounds really big." The use of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" was requested through Daft Punk's manager Pedro Winter and approved by the duo. De Homem Christo also clarified that "It's not a collaboration in the studio, but the vibe of the music we do separately connected in what [West] did with the song."
West collaborated with Timbaland to rework the percussion for the final cut of the song, which appears on the Graduation album. This version contains master use of Edwin Birdsong's "Cola Bottle Baby", a song sampled by Daft Punk for "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". The pre-album version of "Stronger" known to the public and being used by radio, television and other outlets is merely the version used as the single."
My thought, Other music :0, Electronica : 1.
And of course, DAFT PUNK RULES!( how could i forget that!)

Went to a "BEACH PARTY" at Mumbai cafe in Bandra last evening. Basically it was just a huge terrace filled with sand topped with a huge pandal! An event arranged by the submerge.in guys at about 4:30 in the evening till about 10:00, this place played some seriously good music! I came in only at about 7 PM, but my friends did tell me, that the first guy, DJ Anurag was pretty good! When i reached, DJ Nawed was kicking it with some of my favourite tracks from Pete Tong's essential mixes and Frankfurt by the one and only Pryda! Good party, cheap booze and really cheap entry!
It was good, but died down half way down the middle when Nawed played the really REALLY popular tracks, David Guetta et all, it was getting kinda pushy! He was trying really hard to make us dance , but then ...in the end..it doesn't even matter!
Anyway, all in all, good way to spend a sunday evening, rather than going to TOTOS or Hawaian Shack and listening to fucking 80's music!!!
